Unfading/Everlasting Joy
Are you a child of God?. Meaning have you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal savior by confessing your sins to and believed that Jesus died in your place for you sins and rose again for your justification?. If so there are more surprises to you. You do not know how precious and loved you are. Lets medidate on these few sections of scriptures from the Bible. In the following scripture portions Jesus explains how once far way, unapproachable God becomes so intimate with the humanbeing once we accept Jesus Christ as his/her personal savior and the joy that follows.
John 17:22-23
(context: Jesus spoke these words to His desciples before going to the cross. It applies to all the believers in Christ)
22 Therefore you now have sorrow; but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you. And in that day you will ask me nothing. 23Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.
John 17:26-27
26In that day you will ask in My name, and I do not say to you that I shall pray the Father for you; 27for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came forth from God.
In above passages in verse 22 Jesus is explaining to His desciples that they will have sorrow because Jesus is going to the cross to die for the sins of the whole world. In verse 23 He exaplains when he sees them again ( after resurrection ) they will have joy. The quality of that joy is such that nothing in this world can take it away.
Thats true my friend, Jesus is real, His death on the cross is real, His resurrection is real. They are part of history. If you don't believe on the facts investigate it. More than 500 people have seen Jesus after resurrection. Even Saul a christian killer sees resurrected Christ and becomes His follower and changes his name to Paul.
Lets go back to scripture and medidate some more on this Joy.
In John 17:23-24 Jesus says
"23On that day you will ask Me nothing. 24Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give to you."
When you know that Jesus has raised from the dead, the Joy that follows is so rich you need nothing else in the world. Why? because when you know that resurrection is real, since Jesus promised it to us and has proven it by raising from the dead. He showed himself to His desciples after raising from the dead. That is why the desciples did not fear death because they knew they are going to raise from the dead again.
Access to unapproachable God:
Lets meditate on another important aspect of resurrection. On verse 24 Jesus said "whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give to you"
Also in verses 26 and 27
26In that day you will ask in My name, and I do not say to you that I shall pray the Father for you; 27for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came forth from God.
Here you can see Jesus often using "on that day" or "in that day" which refers to resurrection. Once Jesus is raised from the dead you can ask the Father ( the almighty God ) whatever you want and the Father will give you. Also Jesus explaining that Jesus need not pray or recommend your requests to God, for the Father Himeself loves us because we loved Jesus and believed that Jesus came from God.
So the question is, is Jesus Christ resurrected in your heart? Bible says when you believe that Christ died for your sins and rose from the dead for your justification you will have this everlasting joy and access to the Father Almighty God.
